Samantha Chechele

Samantha Chechele is an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Florida as well as the State of Michigan. 2018 marks her 30th year of practicing law as a licensed attorney. She founded the law firm in 1991, to provide excellent legal and tax services to clients. Prior to founding the firm, she worked as a Senior Tax Specialist with the CPA firms of KPMG and Cherry Bekaert & Holland. Her unique background and mix of skills allows her to offer extremely meaningful and comprehensive legal, tax and counseling service to her clients. Samantha is a member of BNI-Nexus, and provides access to her considerable network of professional contacts to her clients as a value-added service. Samantha is originally from Michigan, and attended law school on a full scholarship at the Washburn University School of Law in Kansas. She currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Washburn Law School Alumni Association. She is the current co-Chair of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Pinellas fundraising walk that will take place on October 20, 2018. She also serves as legal counsel and board member for the Florida Dream Center and also for the US Institute Against Human Trafficking – helping others is always a passion inside and outside the office. Samantha is available to speak to small and large groups on the topics of estate planning, tax, and various real estate topics such as working with foreign buyers and sellers of U.S. real property.

Sue Wendt
Accounting and Tax Assistant
Sue is the firm’s accounting and tax specialist. She assists Samantha in the areas of tax return preparation, drafting correspondence in response to IRS and Florida Department of Revenue issues, as well as Quickbooks setup and training. She also helps keep our clients organized and compliant with all their accounting and taxation projects. She will go the extra mile to help you with your question, tax return, or tax problem, in her patient and attentive way.

Mary Lou Diehl
Lead Legal Assistant
Mary Lou Diehl is the lead legal assistant for Real Estate and Probate. She assists our clients with closing real estate transactions with excellence, and moving through the probate process efficiently and effectively. Mary Lou’s background is in early childhood education, which makes her a great fit for dealing with the layers of bureaucracy that arise in the real estate and probate processes! Mary Lou is married to Tom and has three adult sons. She is active in her church, and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren. Alicia Chechele
Veteran’s Aid & Attendant Care Benefits Specialist
Alicia Chechele is our Veteran’s Aid and Attendant Care benefits specialist and special projects point person. Alicia has a degree from the University of South Florida in Psychology, and attended medical school at the University of Florida, and is currently working towards her Masters Degree in nursing. She assists our clients with their Veteran’s benefit claims, and handles other special projects, as needed. In her spare time, Alicia enjoys gardening, holistic nutrition and cooking, and antiques. Alicia is the oldest of the four Chechele girls, and enjoys being part of the second generation now serving clients at Chechele Law!

Faith Chechele
Intern
Faith Chechele is a senior at the University of South Florida, majoring in accounting. She is one of the four Chechele Girls – and is a twin. Her desire is to work at the firm and learn the business, while finishing college and attending law school, and then to become the second generation owner of the firm! Currently, Faith assists in the areas of tax and real estate closings, and she does most of the work with our clients who receive “write-up” services. When she is not working or attending school, Faith is resting up, because these two endeavors take up all of her time, as it should be.
