Beware of Scams

Scammers are everywhere.  In recent times, scammers have discovered some clever strategies for fooling even sophisticated individuals with official-looking notices regarding LLC’s, corporations, and even the filing of deeds.

We have posted several examples of these scams here.  Some of the typical fraudulent notices that are commonly received are notices to file minutes with the state (not a legal requirement), to post employment requirements, or to get a certified copies of your articles of incorporation or organization (or deed).  These notices always suggest the payment of a fee for these un-needed services.

If you recognize your notice here among those we have posted, please disregard and discard.  If you have received a notice and you are not sure if it is legitimate, fax, email, or mail to us, and we will let you know if it is something you should pay, or respond.

The State of Florida’s official once-per-year renewal (before May 1 of each year), is a legitimate notice, and you would go online to Sunbiz.org to renew your Florida LLC, corporation, or not for profit.  If you have received this notice, and you need help completing the task, please contact our office, and we will walk you through the steps to complete your annual renewal.

Here some examples of some of the notices our clients (and also we ourselves) have received.  If your notice is here, you can be sure that it is not legitimate.
